Here’s another video about Project Natal. Personally I’m a bit sceptical about this kind of interaction will be made available to public in the near future.

The technology exists for a long time… motion sensing (Wiimote), infrared to measure distance (small machines used in constructions), camera (image processing like eye toy and AR), etc. I think the biggest challenge is in the software because combining all those technologies and make them working together requires a lot of processing capabilities.

If you’re familiar with adobe’s photoshop then pixlr is the perfect website to edit your images fast, with no registration and without installing anything.

Most of the photoshop tools are available, you can use multiple layers and the user-interface is very similar too. The only catch is that you can’t work with .psd format.

We’ve seen experiments and comercial use for this technology. And why not make some games with it? In this video from Active Vision Laboratory, UK, after a previews explanation of how it works, we can see Darth Vader dominating all his enemy’s!
